Musings on a Preppy/Sloane Car

It would be difficult to imagine the Golden Era of Preppy/Sloane cars without the Saab. And especially the Saab 9-3. In silver. Most likely driven by a male. Who was young. And well dressed. With aviator sunglasses.

(It is a perfect examples of how Scandinavians/Nordics were responsible for many of the Preppy/Sloane mainstays – think Volvo, Saab, Nautor Swan, AGA, some Fair Isle yoke designs, and the Norwegian Birdseye Pullover—despite U.S. importers trying to take credit for some of these (**cough** L.L. Bean **cough**).)
